I still can't believe this invert! Beyond invert by Seth Klinger. Not bad for an on camera flash.

Not so sunny California
Little did I know after this photo was taken that I would be hating life. Thanks California for giving me poison oak or was it Bryan that gave me poison oak?
I was so thankful to get out of Utah over the Christmas break. At one point I wasn't sure if I would be leaving the Salt Lake Airport. The airport was a mess. Flights were being canceled, planes were tired of waiting in the air for a gate and just left, and our terminal was packed with about 3,000 people. If you don't believe me, ask Ashton. All and all it was a fun trip to hang out with family, friends and California weather.

Christmas Spirit
My Mom challenged me to do something nice for someone on her birthday. Don't get me wrong, my wife was the first one to get something nice done to her. I felt like there was something else that I could do.
Many of you know that 99% of my photos on my blog are of someone riding a BMX bike. Just recently, a local BMX rider (Mike Aitken) suffered major head trauma while filming for a new BMX video CLICK HERE. There has been a lot of support from people in the BMX industry to help pay for his very expensive medical bills. Well, after having thought for awhile, and with some creative help from friends I came up with a cool idea to help out Mike. I'm going to be auctioning off all of his covers that he’s gotten from his BMX carrier thus far and present them in a nice frame. If everything goes right, I will be able to have Mike sign the covers.
It was amazing to see the support from RIDE BMX and BMX PLUS. Before I finished talking with Jeff from RIDE he already had them packaged and on the way. I made Ben from PLUS go through his garage to find one of the magazines. It was his personal copy. Thanks Ben Crockett, Jeff Zelinski, Eddie Buckley, and Carly Hopkins.

Dew Tour in Salt Lake
Today was a good day. The new BMX PLUS that I just picked up with Kevin's ad also had coverage of the Dew Tour in Salt Lake City. This was my second time shooting the Dew Tour. Ben Crockett was nice enough to get me a second media pass so that I could get my wife in. It was a long 5 days but well worth the royal treatment ( royal treatment compared to the spectators). I had the opportunity to meet a lot of the athletes especially Mike Spinner ( who mistook me for a tourist photographer). By the time sunday night came around, I had a bunch of cool photos and a gnarly sunburn on my forehead.
